Clinical Interests:
Dr. Naclerio specializes in the management of sinusitis in both children and adults.

Before coming to the University of Chicago in 1994, he sharpened his research and clinical expertise during his 11-year career at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Since completing a residency in otolaryngology and a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology, his research and clinical interests have run in parallel. He is internationally recognized for his research in allergic and non-allergic rhinitis.

Academic Interests:

Dr. Naclerio's research has been funded by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) and the pharmaceutical industry continuously during his career.

His research and clinical expertise have led to the publication of over 160 peer-reviewed articles, 85 review articles, and 65 book chapters. He has lectured over 400 times in the United States and foreign countries. He is on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Rhinology, Rhinology and Laryngoscope. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, the Trilogic society and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology. His commitment to education not only involves medical students and residents, but also the development of educational videos for patients and interactive programs for practitioners.

Dr. Naclerio served as a senior examiner for the Board of Otolaryngology.
